On Saturday, April 21, at 6:30, the 2018 Elby Award Winning team that brought you the “Best New Restaurant” Little Saint will be cooking up a locally sourced six-course wine dinner featuring the award-winning wines from Mollydooker made by Australia’s legendary female winemaker Sarah Marquis.
This is not your mother’s wine dinner! Mollydooker wines invented the Mollydooker shake- an irreverent shaking of the wine before serving and our two-time Elby award-winning sommelier is going to do just that: the “Molly Dooker Shake”- proving wine isn’t stuffy, its fun. These highly rated wines frequent the Top 100, (and top 10) of the Wine Spectator Best 100 list on an annual basis. These power-house red wines are rich with forthright flavors of raspberry, briar, dried herbs and soft mocha and mint on the palate. Others have cherry & rhubarb notes with a hint of vanilla, complemented by delicate oak elements of toasted coconut and spice- these wines are ready to drink now with food or pick up a few cases after the dinner for cellaring.
