Henrico County Community Day will feature demonstrations and tours, highlight public safety efforts

The County of Henrico will celebrate the community, offer a day of family fun, and highlight some public safety initiatives this Saturday, October 7th at the Western Government Center on N. Parham Road.

Henrico County Community Day will take place from 10:00 AM until 2:00 PM and feature various county agencies who will provide tours, demonstrations, and more.

Food and drink will be available for purchase, the county will offer services to residents including VIN etching and document shredding, and a job fair will also take place.

Come join Henrico as we celebrate our community. See the displays of the General Government Services, recognize National Fire Prevention Week, National Crime Prevention Month, National Energy Awareness Month and much more! Come to the Western Government Center on Saturday, October 7th from 10:00 am – 2:00 pm for demonstrations, tours and fun!

This free event will have public safety vehicles and special equipment displays, food, and entertainment for the whole family. Numerous county and state agencies will also be present with activities and informational materials:

  • Shred-It & Electronics Recycling to Help Prevent Identity Theft (Will be located just down the road at Hermitage High School)
  • Free H.E.A.T. Auto Vehicle ID Number (VIN) Etching provided by Virginia State Police
  • Demonstrations by Henrico Fire and Police
  • Henrico Sheriff’s Office and Henrico Security Displays
  • Jail Tours and Courts Displays
  • “Sidewalk of Services” Provided by Henrico County
  • County Job Fair
  • Meet and Greet County Officials
  • Food and Beverages Available for Purchase
