Richmond Flying Squirrels unveil new ballpark upgrades for 2017 baseball season
The new “Bistro at the Bullpen” area will offer exclusive seating, a buffet, and drink service to groups of 50 to 75 people.
The Richmond Flying Squirrels introduced a handful of new additions to The Diamond for the 2017 season on Thursday afternoon. VP and COO Todd “Parney” Parnell was on hand with media to showcase some new hospitality options.
The first addition will be the “Bistro at the Bullpen,” a new 27-foot square hospitality area adjacent to the Squirrels bullpen designed to host groups of 50 to 75 people and will offer an all-you-can-eat buffet for the entire game, a dedicated bartender, and up-close seating right on top of the action. The Bistro will also be available for individual ticket buyers on select nights when it isn’t booked for group outings.
The bistro buffet menu will include ballpark fare like boneless wings, french onion dip and chips, hamburger sliders, barbecue pork sliders, meatball sliders, crab cake sliders, hot dogs, macaroni and cheese, coleslaw, salad greens, and more. Booking will start at $2,000 for 50 guests.
“Every year our ownership group and front office staff are committed to making The Diamond look and feel different,” Parney said in a press release. “The addition of the Bistro at the Bullpen will not only look great next to last year’s addition, the Bullpen Bar, but will be a great addition for all who experience it.”
