The City of Richmond Department of Public Utilities has announced road closures near Byrd Park starting Monday, October 30, lasting through Friday, November 10, to install a water drain line.

The affected areas include Grant Street between S. Arthur Ashe Boulevard and Boat Lake Drive, Boat Lake Drive, Paddle Boat Lane, and a section of S. Robinson Street between the two roads. These roads will be closed continuously throughout the project’s duration.

The installation is a part of the Byrd Park Reservoir Roof Replacement Project. Motorists are advised to use alternative routes and should be aware of traffic control measures in place to guide them. The project’s completion is contingent on weather conditions and unforeseen issues.
