Once a regular popup at Ardent Craft Ales, the Texas-style purveyor of cured meats and other treats will have its own space come Saturday.

A local purveyor of brisket, barbecue, and other cured meats that started with a small smoker outside of Ardent Craft Ales in Scott’s Addition is finally getting a restaurant of its own. ZZQ will open its own brick-and-mortar establishment on Saturday, right next to Ardent at 3201 W. Moore Street.

The 5,500-square-foot restaurant features a full bar, outdoor patio, and a fast casual-style serving line allowing customers to select their meats and other treats–including jalapeño mac and cheese, collard greens, potato salad, and an assortment of picked veggies.

ZZQ will offer dinner service Wednesday through Sunday, with plans to add lunch service in the near future.
