Chef Mike Ledesma joining up with Blue Bee Cider, Vasen Brewing for Matchbox Short Pump takeover

Ledesma is hosting the popup in advance of the opening of his new restaurant, Perch, set to come to Scott’s Addition later this year.

On Wednesday, February 28th, Matchbox in Short Pump will welcome guest chef Mike Ledesma of Perch to the kitchen. Ledesma, owner of forthcoming Scott’s Addition restaurant Perch, will put his twist on one of Matchbox’s wood-fired pizzas and hamburgers and will showcase two special dishes of his own.

Blue Bee Cider and Vasen Brewing will be serving special drinks through the night as well.

Mike’s menu will be offered alongside Matchbox’s regular menu, and will include:

  • Cassoulet Pizza
    duck confit / white bean / sage / blueberry jalapeno
  • Featured Burger
    ground chuck and short rib / onion bacon chutney / housemade pickles
  • Fire Roasted Whole Fish
    snapper / roasted veg and sauce vierge
  • Virginia Oyster Rockefeller
    local oysters / braised kale/ sambuca / sriracha vinaigrette / truffles

A portion of the proceeds will be donated to Linwood Holton Elementary School.
