Happy Empanada’s brick and mortar spot one step closer to open

They posted on Facebook that they passed their latest round of city inspections.

Happy Empanada’s food truck has been filling bellies at breweries and local events for a while. Now owner Luciana “Lucy” is bringing the tasty Panamanian pastry to 1203 Westover Hills Blvd. The spot is small so the focus will be on carry-out and catering.

Richmond BizSense.com has some details on the decision to open in the neighborhood. To my untrained eye it looks like they’re pretty close to meeting their goal of a February opening.
