The Powhatan Festival of the Grape is returning for its 15th year on October 7th with over 20 Virginia wineries taking part.

One of the many events celebrating Virginia Wine Month, Powhatan’s Festival of the Grape will take place Saturday, October 7th from 11:00 AM until 6:00 PM on the grounds of the historic Courthouse Village at 3800 Old Buckingham Road.

Festival-goers can purchase a tasting pass which includes a wine glass and pours from all of the Virginia wineries on site, as well as live music from the InsideOut Band and Route 64, plus shopping from over 100 local and regional arts and crafts vendors.

The event has grown into one of Powhatan’s biggest events and attracted over 8,000 attendees last year. Over 125 volunteers help organize the event, which generates over $10,000 annually in grants that are given back to community organizations in the area.

Adult tickets are $25 in advance online, and $30 at the gate. Youth ages 13 through 21 can attend for $15 in advance; $20 at the gate. Online sales end the day before the event at midnight.
