A new late night bar is coming to Carytown, and it’s being led by some familiar names in the Richmond dining scene. The Jasper, as the concept will be known, will be located at 3113 W. Cary Street in the former Carey Burke Carpets space.

Mattias Hägglund of Heritage; Thomas Leggett, with The Roosevelt; and Kevin Liu of The Tin Pan will open the space later this year.

Designed to welcome imbibers of all types in a casual and comfortable atmosphere, The Jasper’s menu will feature everything from cocktails to canned domestic beers, local drafts, and curated wines and spirits, the trio said in a news release.

Small plates will be offered to accompany beverages and the full menu will be available until closing time. The Jasper will be open for service seven nights a week until 2:00 AM.

Combined, the opening team boasts a laundry list of awards and accolades, both locally and nationally, for either their own abilities or their restaurants and bar programs.

Check out a rendering of the space on the restaurant’s new website here.
