For the second year in a row, a hungry group of kids will eat their way through Richmond, tasting new foods and critiquing their experiences. It’s all a part of the “Kid Food Critics” summer camp put on by Richmond Montessori School.

The week-long camp begins today. Students will try new foods in new places, hear from local food critics, and rate local restaurants, visiting a new one each day and documenting their experience from a kid’s perspective.

Participating restaurant will include Joe’s Inn’s, Gojo Ethiopian Restaurant, Yum Yum Good Chinese Restaurant The Daily Kitchen & Bar, and Casa Del Barco.

Richmond restaurants are used to the wide-ranging reviews of local reviewers and food bloggers, but will they be able to stand up to the sometimes brutally honest critiques from area kids? Well, if you can’t take the heat, get out of the kitchen.
