If you live in Richmond and have always thought about going solar, now is a great time to think about it. Local solar coopoerative VA SUN is hosting two information sessions for area residents who have questions about what it takes to install rooftop solar panels, what types of rooftops are good candidates, and the cost and return on investment involved.

VA SUN is forming a solar co-op to offset some of the costs associated with one-off installations. The power in numbers concept allows for bulk installation rates.

Two upcoming information sessions are being held for those interested in learning more.

The first takes place Thursday at 6:30 PM at the Humphrey Calder Community Center. It’s located at 414 N. Thompson Street in the Museum District. Sign up here.

The second takes place Monday, June 5th at 6:00 PM at the Richmond Public Library’s Main Branch, located at 101 E. Franklin Street downtown. Sign up here.
