Multiple people were sent to the hospital Monday afternoon after a fight broke out at the Golden Corral buffet at 4050 Gaskins Road in the West End.

Police say dishwasher Bahaa Gemin Fayez was tending to dishes around 12:30 PM when a group of people began taunting him, calling him “el diablo,” Spanish for “the devil.” Fayez then reportedly grabbed a rotisserie chicken roasting skewer before being tackled to the ground before police arrived on scene.

In all, four people were hospitalized with non-lifethreatening injuries. Fayez was arrested.

Henrico Police say charges are pending and a representative with Golden Corral released a statement indicating the employee in question has been terminated.
