The Willow Lawn franchise of the Duck, North Carolina original closed at the end of business Sunday.
The storefront at West Broad Village opened in January of 2016 and was the chain's second location in the Richmond area.
The Short Pump location will be the second in Richmond for the Outer Banks-based donut chain.
