Unity Fest with Starbuck Workers United, Bernie Sanders, and Bands at The National

Five local Starbucks voted to unionize this week and to celebrate bands, workers, and supporter including one guy you might recognize from a mural in town, I think he might be known for something else but I’m not sure, Bernie Sanders.

Unity Fest is a free event to support and celebrate the organizing efforts of Starbucks workers locally and across the country. Join us at the National on April 24, 2022 from 12pm-8pm to enjoy 10 local bands playing live music throughout the day as well as workers sharing their experiences and stories. Featured guest and supporter of Starbucks Workers United, Bernie Sanders, will be joining us on stage at 6pm! We require vaccination cards or a negative test (within 72-HRS of event) upon entry for this free event. Masks are optional but recommended! RSVP:

April 23rd, 12-4PM

I know you haven’t missed all the corporations telling you about Earth Day while they rake in enormous profit destroying the earth. You can’t stop the Exxons of the world but you can make a local neighborhood a little better.

Gallery5 hosts another community clean up day in conjunction with the Historic Jackson Ward Association and Downtown Neighborhood Association!

Join us on Saturday April 23rd from 12-4pm as we come together to clean up trash, boxes, cans, and more around the neighborhood!

Check in at the table in front of G5.

Trash grabbers, bags, gloves, and vests graciously supplied by the Richmond Department of Public Works.

Please register in the link below so we know you’re coming and select a time you will arrive (donations are not necessary to participate):
