Cabana Beer Release Party – Center of the Universe, Saturday

Some people become (in their own mind) incredible dancers after a few beers. Put that belief to good use with Salsa lessons at this release party.

On Saturday, August 12th, Center of the Universe will be transformed into the beautiful COTU-Cabana for the release of the TROPIC LIKE IT’S HOT delicious Hefeweizen with passionfruit, pineapple and lime we brewed in partnership with Ardent Craft Ales, Hardywood Park Craft Brewery, and VA Pride. There will be free salsa lessons, tropical cocktails made with the beer, a Carmen Miranda lookalike contest, special guest bartenders, andHappy Empanada & The Cultured Swine on site with their delicious menus!

Forever Summer Festival 2017! – Veil Brewing, Saturday

This event is sold out but perhaps one of your friends has a spare ticket. Proceeds are going to support ChildSavers and there will be a bunch of super rare beers not seen in the wilds of Virginia. Alcohol-infused Cupcake Pairing -Three Notch’d Brewing Co RVA Collab House, Friday

We’ve seen plenty of beer and cupcake pairing but I don’t recall seeing the cupcakes being alcohol-infused. This is a twist we can get behind.

Come on out to Three Notch’d to enjoy a special set of four unique flavor pairings featuring alcohol-infused cupcakes from Lush Cupcakes.

Each cupcake will be made with a Three Notch’d Brewing Company beer in the cupcake and topped with various flavors and liquors in the buttercream.

Come grab a flight of cupcakes for $10.00, or individual cakes for $3.00 each. Then, step on over to the bartender and snag a matching flight of the four beer pairings.

Make sure to save room after dinner, or hey, just skip dinner and come let your sweet tooth win for the evening!

Dogtown Dance Theatre at Hardywood Craft Brewery, Sunday

Dogtown is an amazing dance company in Manchester. They put on incredibly diverse performances and on Sunday they’ll be dancing into your hearts over a beer at Hardywood.

Join us in the taproom from 12-6PM for an afternoon of vibrant performances by Dogtown Dance Theatre until 3PM! We will have Eastern Star Catering here serving up their mobile menu!

Scientifical Madness Double IPA Release – Final Gravity, Friday

Another sweet or perhaps diabolical double IPA coming out of Lakeside this weekend. One thing’s for sure it is Madness, sweet, sweet, Madness.

Scientifical Madness Double IPA will be tapped in the tasting room this Friday and at The Veil Brewing Co. on Saturday for the Forever Summer Festival 2017! Levitating with the assistance of Experimental #07270 and Mosaic hops, it presents high-voltage with 8% ABV and the exploratory flavors of tangerine and stone fruit with subtle earthy and resinous distinctions. The output will be powerful, yet brief.
