BEER BRUNCH

I’ve had these ham biscuits and the ham on them is like no other. Paired with an Ardent beer and you’re starting your weekend off right.

From Facebook:

Beer Brunch returns this Labor Day weekend on Sunday, September 4 for a special edition with Richmond’s Stock Provisions – Richmond butcher and grocer! They’ll be here at the brewery cooking up ham biscuits with their housemade Tasso Ham as well as a variety of Breakfast Burritos packed with their own signature sausages and bacon. Do not miss this beer brunch! The occasion will be capped off with Beer Bloody Marys made with Texas Beach Bloody Mary Mix. Free to enter and pay as you go for food and drinks. Starts at 12pm.

GEORGIE AND PORGIE

The e Quirk Hotel rooftop is where you can head Thursday to get the firs taste of these two new beers. Read this to find out about other release events.

Ardent’s “Georgie” beer is a Mixed Berry Pale Ale (4.7% abv) which represents the “pie” in the rhyme, and COTU’s “Porgie” beer is a Chocolate Pudding Porter (5.7% abv) which plays on the “pudding” line. Both beers will be available on draft throughout Richmond and in limited-edition 750 mL bottles.

NEW HIVE FOR BLUE BEE

Intrepid RVA Hub reporter Trevor Dickerson went behind the scenes at the Blue Bee Cider’s soon to be new home in Scott’s Addition. Check it out here. I’m going to go out on a limb and predict that it will be a big hit.
