Humble Haven Yoga, Richmond’s first dedicated Hot Power yoga studio, has expanded its Glenside studio. The studio welcomed the expansion of their existing studio with a grand opening June 11th. It includes a second unheated room where students can find more bootcamp classes, Yin yoga, teacher trainings, new workshops, more retail, additional bathrooms, and changing rooms.

Owner Suzanne Burns first opened Humble Haven Yoga at 13 S. 13th Street in Shockoe Bottom back in 2016. After a successful four years of business, Burns opened the doors to a second studio in the Reynold’s Crossing shopping center in January of 2020.

As the COVID-19 pandemic rocked the Richmond community that spring, Humble Haven closed the doors at their Shockoe Bottom location to focus fully on Reynolds Crossing and to also intentionally invite fellow Richmond wellness community, The Well Collective, to move into the 13th Street location.

“Now and going forward I think it’s important to offer a versatile set of classes, class times, and pricing to access those classes in order to bring more people together and create a centralized hub for wellness” said Burns. “All of our classes are founded in yoga because there’s a humbleness that comes with the yoga practice. That humbleness breeds personal strength and supports building a strong community.”

Humble Haven Yoga attracts over 700 weekly students and offers the largest schedule of any studio in the greater Richmond area with over 60 classes each week. Regular offerings include Power Yoga, Bootcamp, Yin, yoga with weights, yoga for adults with disabilities, and more.
