Drink Up at the Stony Point Beer, Wine & Spirits Festival this Saturday

River City Festivals aka Drink Local, is returning to Stony Point Fashion Park this Saturday with the 4th Annual Beer, Wine & Spirits Festival.  This event exclusively features Virginia owned and operated Breweries, Wineries, and Distilleries.

The Stony Point Beer, Wine, & Spirits Festival features unlimited sampling from 18 Virginia Breweries, Wineries, Distilleries, along with three live music acts, food &, desserts.  Tickets are needed to participate in sampling and are $45 in advance or $55 on the day of.  Must be 21+ to participate, ID required.  Details and tickets at: http://drinklocal.org/

Participating entities include: Elk Island Winery, Lexington Valley Veneyard, Vintner’s Cellars, Extra Billy’s Brewery, Steam Bell, Kindred Spirit, Caiseal Beer & Spirits, JH Bards Spirit Co, MurLarkey Distilled Spirits, Three Crosses Distilling, Filibuster Distillery, Blue Sky Distillery, Reservior Distillery, Virago Spirits, Ironclad Distillery, Chesapeake Bay Distillery, & KO Distilling.

 

Attendees are able to purchase additional bottles to bring home from attending wineries and distilleries.  Many of these items are typically only available at the winery, distillery, or at events like this.

John Davenport, owner of Three Crosses Distilling in Powhatan is one of the 10 Distilleries that will be featured at the Festival.  “This [Festival] allows us to sample our newest products, which can only otherwise be found at the Distillery. We see this event as a great way to meet new customers and expand our brand presence here in Central Virginia.”

Dogs are welcome.  Proceeds from this event will go towards supporting Giving Local, a Virginia non-profit with the mission of promoting and creating opportunities for locally based businesses.
