F.W. Sullivan’s Throws in the Towel

The challenges of being a social spot couldn’t overcome these socially distancing times.

Another bar is fading off into the sunset. F.W. Sullivan’s announced its closing and the building is up for sale.

From Facebook:

Well folks that’s a wrap! After waiting it out over seven months we’re going to have to move on. Unfortunately, Sully’s doesn’t work in any way shape or form in this age of social distancing. All parties involved have decided to move on and let the building find a new life more suitable for our new normal.

It was definitely an epic run! Over a decade of moments so many of us will never forget! Sully’s accomplished its mission to bring Richmonders together and help create relationships that can last a moment or a lifetime. We are extremely grateful for the opportunity to do just that and do it for so long. Your support and love have meant everything to us over the years and we hope to live on in your memories.

If you miss our crew you can now find many of the familiar faces from Sully’s across the street at our sister establishment across the street, Lady N’awlins. We’re doing our best to keep the family together.

Well, that’s that, we wish we could have one more last call and sing you out with Sinatra like we did at the end of so many amazing nights. In the meantime, on behalf of the whole crew, we’ll miss and always remember you. Stay safe and stay sane during these uncertain times and in your hearts, we’ll always See You At Sully’s! Cheers! 🍻
