Fans of Dogtown Brewer, Hot Diggity Donuts, and Butterbean Cafe can rest easy for now. None of those properties are listed in the auction.

Michael Hild is currently out on a $500,000 bond while he awaits trial on federal criminal charges for securities fraud, mail fraud and bank fraud, related to an alleged reverse-mortgage bond scheme involving his business Live Well Financial. Live Well Financial filed for bankruptcy earlier this year.

Through his companies Church Hill Ventures LLC, Kingfisher LLC, and Gardenia LLC, Hild purchased properties throughout the Manchester area. Now with the permission of the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York in relation to his upcoming trial United States v. Hild, Case No. 1:19-cr-00602, he is auctioning off ten properties.

The auction will take place at The Westin Richmond (6631 West Broad Street) on December 17th and is being conducted by Tranzon Fox Auction. Bids will also be taken online.

The properties up for auction don’t include other notable Hild properties, Dogtown Brewer, Hot Diggity Donuts, Butterbean Cafe and the Siegel’s Supermarket (which was listed for sale earlier this year).  There are some very interesting properties up for sale including the Lighthouse Diner, seen above, which over the years has seen many rumors of renovation (2002 story, 2007 story, 2014 story) but no action.

It’s certainly a varied list of properties an old diner, a former bank, and even a church.

That list gives you a good idea of the large number of properties that Hild gobbled up. Perhaps with this sale, we’ll see some diverse development in the Manchester area.
