Richmond Folk Festival on the Downtown Riverfront – The 14th Richmond Folk Festival begins tomorrow, October 12th and features three days full of music, food, and fun on seven stages. There are a ton of amazing performers, but the legendary Mavis Staples is a must-see. First ever Cambodian Food Festival – The first of its kind in Richmond, the first ever Cambodian Food Festival kicks off Saturday at 8801 Battlefield Park Road at Khmer Samacky Monastery in the East End. Enjoy kebabs, spring rolls, and other delicacies along with activities and demonstrations throughout the day. Admission is free; pay as you go for food and drinks. Pickled & Fermented Festival at Center of the Universe Brewing – Pickle Lovers and Fermented fiends unite – The Artisan Pickles club is hosting their 3rd annual Pickled & Fermented festival, a celebration of pickles and craft beer. Richmond Home Show at the Richmond Raceway Complex – The Richmond Home Show returns to the Richmond Raceway complex this Friday through Sunday. Featuring over 150 vendors and a special presentation by “The House Counselor” Laurie March of HGTV and DIY Network, there’s something for everyone. Adult admission is $8 all weekend ($6 in advance online) and attendees 12 and younger get in free. Details here.
Fall Festival at West Broad Village – West Broad Village is hosting a family-friendly Fall Festival this Sunday, October 14th on The Pad, their outdoor venue, featuring food and drink vendors, face painting, a pet costume contest, and more.
