Hardywood is hosting a big event at its new digs in Goochland this Labor Day weekend, celebrating all things Americana.
This Saturday, September 1st, Hardywood West Creek will host their first big music festival, the inaugural Tuckahoe Creek Americana Festival.
This outdoor festival will showcase a mix of national and local bluegrass and Americana artists playing all day on multiple stages. Expect local craft makers, a bonfire, yard games and food trucks. Tickets are $20 and include parking; a VIP experience is available for $50.
Headliners include Charlottesville’s own the Hackensaw Boys, who continue to bring their burning hot vision of American roots music into a new age, fueled as much by a rowdy punk spirit as by the traditional masters that first inspired them.
The Tillers, who have been thumping their own distinctive sound of string band style folk music for a decade, riding it all over the country and across the sea, will also take the stage.
Richmond-native Dharma Bombs, a confluence between folk music born on the street corners and ridge lines of the South, rounds out the day’s highlights.
The Tuckahoe Creek Americana Music Festival kicks off Saturday, September 1st and runs from 1:00 – 10:00 PM.
