Amazon now offering Prime members free two hour delivery from Whole Foods Market

If you’re a Prime member, the Amazon-owned grocer now provides free delivery to your door on orders over $35.

As of this week, Amazon, which recently purchased Whole Foods Market, has launched a free two-hour delivery service for the grocer’s natural and organic products for Prime subscribers in Richmond, along with Baltimore, Boston, and Philadelphia.

The service, which began Tuesday, means Prime members in Richmond can shop thousands of items from produce, bakery, and dairy to meat and seafood, floral, and everyday staples. Alcohol is also available.

“We’ve been delighted with the customer response to free two-hour delivery through Prime Now, and we’re excited to bring the service to our customers…” said Christina Minardi, Whole Foods Market Executive Vice President of Operations. “Today’s announcement is another way that we are continuing to expand access to our high-quality products and locally-sourced favorites.”

The two-hour delivery is free and a one-hour service is available to expedite orders for $7.99 on orders of $35 or more. Delivery is available from 8:00 AM until 10:00 PM daily.
