Hundreds of volunteers, including local Comcast/NBCUniversal employees and their families, friends and NASCAR Xfinity Series drivers helped to make an impact as they cleaned and beautified the 30+ acres grounds of Virginia Home for Boys and Girls as part of the 17th annual Comcast Cares Day, which coincided with this past weekend’s NASCAR races.

Activities included landscaping, weeding, and planting in the garden, reconditioning the basketball court, interior and exterior painting, cleaning of the fellowship hall, planting trees in the Bell Tower Courtyard, and general beautification of the grounds.

NASCAR drivers Austin Cindric and Chase Briscoe joined Claiborne Mason, President, Virginia Home for Boys and Girls; Mary McLaughlin, Senior Vice President of Comcast’s Beltway Region, and many others for the project.
