Earlier this week we learned that Stone Brewing’s plans to build their Bistro in the Terminal Warehouse had been dashed. The cost of bringing the building up to code was not feasible. Greg Koch, co-founder & Executive Chairman of Stone Brewing took the time to make this video and express his disappointment. He also mentions plans to incorporate as much of the old building as possible into the new plans.

Stone co-founder & Executive Chairman takes us on a final tour of the Richmond “Terminal Warehouse #3” building as a farewell love letter to it after learning just two days before that it had structural and environmental remediation issues so significant that they were not financially viable for repair. True, many Richmonders have viewed the building as nothing more than an eyesore, but we felt certain that we’d be able to transform it into a thing of beauty. The disappointment in Greg’s voice is easy to hear. “However, since this time we’ve been working with architects to create a new building that will meet the standards of the Stone Brewing World Bistro & Gardens on this very property. Our commitment to create something truly special has not changed, so stay tuned!”
