VMFA hosting free Family Day celebration this Saturday in connection with Native American art exhibit

A complement to the special exhibition “Hear My Voice: Native American Art of the Past & Present,” the family-friendly experience will allow visitors to explore connections between the natural world and indigenous American identities through art activities such as basket weaving and pottery.

The VMFA will host yet another Family Day celebration this Saturday, October 14th at the museum. A complement to the special exhibition “Hear My Voice: Native American Art of the Past & Present,” which is on display through November 26th, the family-friendly experience will allow visitors to explore connections between the natural world and indigenous American identities through art activities such as basket weaving and pottery.

There will also be demonstrations by renowned artists Molly Murphy Adams, Virgil Ortiz, and Jeremy Frey, along with a series of ryhmic performances.

It all takes place on Saturday, October 14th from 11:00 AM until 3:00 PM. Admission is free, and no tickets are required for entry.

The Virginia Museum of Fine Arts is located at 200 N. Boulevard in the Museum District.
