A pet cemetery in Henrico County that dates back to the 1930s has been hit by vandals, the Richmond Times-Dispatch reports. The West End property, spanning about two acres near Tuckahoe Middle School, has seen just under 100 of its headstones overturned, among other damage recently discovered.

From the Richmond Times-Dispatch:

The owners of a Henrico County pet cemetery are on alert after dozens of gravestones were apparently damaged by vandals.

About 92 headstones have been knocked over at the 2-acre Pet Memorial Park, according to Marsha Rodgers, the owner of the property near Tuckahoe Middle School in the 1700 block of Westbury Drive.

After a pet owner visiting the cemetery tipped her off Saturday, Rodgers met police officers at the scene. She found flowers she left for her late Shih Tzu, Snowball, apparently tossed aside and a pinwheel ripped apart, along with the overturned memorials.
