Protect The General Robert E. Lee Monument Rally scheduled for September 16th

On September 16th starting at 10 AM the CSA II: The New Confederate States of America, (4,579 Facebook followers) based out of Dandridge, Tennessee is hosting an event at the Robert E. Lee Monument. The reason for the event is to protect the General Robert E. Lee Monument in Richmond, Virginia from being taken down or destroyed.

As of this writing, there is no proposal to remove any statues, including Robert E. Lee, from Monument Avenue. The Monument Avenue Commission which was formed by Mayor Stoney to address telling a more comprehensive history of the monuments has only held one public meeting to date. The Commission was set to meet on September 13th but that meeting has been indefinitely postponed over safety concerns.

Due to MISINFORMATION that is being put out regarding Our Event on September 16th at or near the Lee Monument in Richmond, VA, we have decided to make this OFFICIAL STATEMENT to clear things up:

The event on September 16th at the Lee Monument IS NOT CANCELED…IT WILL STILL BE GOING ON…Richmond PD is aware of this event and working on providing security for this event. CSA II®: The New Confederate States of America And Ms.Tara Brandau are the event organizers. We need as many Heritage ~ Not Hate Confederates there on that day.
