VMFA hosting ribbon cutting of new interactive archaeological exhibition Sunday

“Dig It!” centers around archaeology and explores the art of ancient China.

From the VMFA:

Join us for the opening of, Dig It! an interactive exhibition for visitors of all ages to explore the field of archaeology and learn more about works of art made in ancient China. Discover archaeological sites, excavate objects in a virtual dig and much more!

Enjoy the new exhibition and come by the studios to participate in art activities inspired by Chinese artwork from VMFA’s collection.

It all takes place Sunday, September 3rd. The ribbon cutting takes place at 1:00 PM at the Memorial Foundation for Children Teaching Gallery’s Art Education Center at the VMFA. The event is free and open to the public.
