Idle Hands Bread Company adding Fan location

I’ll be referring to the Jackson Ward Idle Hands as Right Idle Hand and the Fan location as the Left Idle Hand. I accept that I’m the only that will adopt this naming convention.

Idle Hands Bread Company  makes delicious breads and pastry out of a closet sized bakery in Jackson Ward. Recently they held a Kickstarter campaign to help purchase a bigger oven to help keep up with demand. The Kickstarter was a success but that raised a different issue.  Their Jackson Ward location couldn’t deal with the oven.

Since Ilde Hands is so rightfully popular a natural solution was to open a second spot. This new location is 407 Strawberry Street.  Work has already begun on the Idle Hands #2 and is expected open later this summer.

I feel like a slight rebranding is in order and I’ll be referring to the Jackson Ward Idle Hands as Right Idle Hand and the Fan location as the Left Idle Hand. I accept that I’m the only that will adopt this naming convention.

Both Richmond Magazine and Richmond BizSense have articles on the expansion.
