The fourth annual RVA Street Art Festival, a roving festival featuring local and national artists alike that has added color and flair to neighborhoods around Richmond, is coming to the Boulevard, it was announced this morning.

The three-day festival will bring a splash of color to the biggest canvas to date–The Diamond–September 22nd through the 24th.

Partnering with the Richmond Flying Squirrels, the festival will turn Richmond’s iconic baseball stadium into a canvas of mixed-media art, including painted murals, projection lighting, landscape art, stairwell art, “drone art,” and other forms organizers have yet to announce.

This year’s festival will also include a concert series, food and beer trucks, and creative activities for children and adults in the parking lot around the stadium.

Past locations for the festival, which aims to support arts education for children through community based events, have included the former GRTC bus depot, Manchester, and the Canal Walk.

A schedule of events and activities will be released in August, organizers said at today’s press event announcing the partnership at The Diamond.
