If you like Bellytimber pizza you need to get there today. The owners are looking at making changes to the building and with those changes will come a new restaurant called Beauvine. Those changes can’t happen with the restaurant open so the oven will cool and the doors will be locked. Starting Wednesday Bellytimber will be closed. I hope those renovations don’t involve painting over one of my favorite murals in Richmond.

From Facebook:

It is with both a heavy heart and great anticipation that we announce the closing of Bellytimber Tavern and the advent of an exciting, new restaurant for Richmond and specifically, the Fan district. After seven fantastic and colorful years, Bellytimber Tavern will be closing its doors to make way for a new restaurant to be called Beauvine. There are so many people that played key roles in the success and great times at Bellytimber, it’s impossible to name all. But to all the wonderful customers, loyal regulars, and top notch restaurant industry professionals that we have been so privileged to work with, we want to express our most sincere gratitude. None of the great memories would exist if it wasn’t for all the kind and talented people that came through our door everyday to work, eat and drink. Because of these people, Bellytimber has been able to thrive as healthy business for all these years and it has been an absolute pleasure for us to come to work everyday

However, as our city changes, so do we. Our building is in need of some love that demands us to close for a spell and we feel like the time is right to make some significant changes and explore some new ideas. With this comes Beauvine. We expect to be serving the people of our great city by late August and are eagerly anticipating this new challenge. There will be further details to come and we look forward to seeing and serving everyone very soon.

Bellytimber Tavern will be open for regular business through Tuesday, May 30, 2017 and will close the following day on Wednesday, May 31, 2017.

Thank You Always,
Patrick, Randy, Everyone at Bellytimber
