Strangeways Brewing to host Bow Wow Meow Luau to benefit Richmond Animal Care & Control
Expect three dozen beers for $6 all day, adoptable dogs from RACC, food trucks, and much more.
Strangeways Brewing will once again support Richmond Animal Care & Control with its annual spring event, the Bow Wow Meow Luau, on April 9th, the brewery announced.
This free and dog-friendly event will feature adoptable dogs from RACC, pet-centric vendors, five area food trucks, $6 beers all day, live music, a silent auction, and contests. It all kicks off at 10:30 AM.
“Let’s face it, teaming up with RACC was a natural fit,” Strangeways said in a news release. “Dogs and cats are like beer. It’s hard to choose just one, and Strangeways features 36 beers on tap every day, while RACC saves 3000+ strays every year.”
A suggested donation of $5 will score you a RACC koozie while supplies last. All donations will go directly to the Richmond Animal Care & Control Foundation, a nonprofit organization providing care and support for strays, abandon animals, surrendered pets, and homeless animals in the Greater Richmond area.
Food vendors will include Slideways Mobile Bistro, Goatocado, Smokie Joe’s BBQ, Return of the Mac, and King Of Pops.
Vendors will include Richmond Animal Care & Control, Dog Bark Bones, RedRidge Pet Market, Crossed Paw Collars, Canine Adventure, Face Value Arts (caricatures), Nakhuara’s Herbal Legends, Dogwood Veterinary Emergency & Specialty Center, The Woofy Wellness Ranch, Helping Hands Veterinary Surgery & Dental Care, Crate Escape Pet Care, Fetch Pet Care, and vetXpress.
Mix 98.1’s Kat Simons will host the event, which will also feature entertainment from Johnathan the Juggler, River City Ukulele Orchestra, a balloon animal artist, a pet parade led by some of the RACC adoptable pups, and more.
