St. Paddy’s Palooza at Innsbrook Pavilion

Family-friendly St. Patrick’s Day fun returns to Innsbrook this weekend with St. Paddy’s Palooza at the Innsbrook Pavilion. The Irish-centric festivities kick off at 11:00 AM with an opening ceremony complete with bagpipes and continues throughout the day with seven live bands, beer, food trucks, and lots of kid-friendly activities. It all benefits the St. Baldrick’s Foundation, a national, volunteer-driven charity dedicated to funding research to find cures for childhood cancers. You can watch volunteers step up on stage and have their heads shaved to raise money and awareness for those affected with cancer–going bald for a cure. It’s quite a sight.

Run For The Hills 5K in Forest Hill

The Forest Hill Neighborhood Association is hosting the ninth annual Run For The Hills 5K this weekend in, where else, Forest Hill. The race kicks off at the Stone House at Forest Hill Park Saturday morning at 9:00 AM. Online registration is now closed, but you can register at the Stone House on Friday, March 17th from 5:30 – 7:30 PM and on Saturday, March 18th from 8:00 – 9:00 AM just before the event starts. Attendees will receive an event T-shirt while supplies last.

Shamrock 5K and Kids Run at Westchester Commons

Elsewhere on the southside, the Westchester Shamrock 5K and Kids 1K Fun Run takes place at the Westchester Commons Shopping Center in Midlothian. Free admission to the festivities encourages spectators to stroll the streets enjoying food, kids’ activities, music, and entertainment. The Bon Secours Health & Fitness Zone provides will provide tips and information, giveaways, samples and more. There’s still time to register online!

Southern Women’s Show at the Richmond Raceway Complex

The Southern Women’s Show kicks off Friday at the Richmond Raceway Complex. Along with fashion, beauty, clothing, and health-oriented vendors, a number of celebrities and other performers will take the stage at the event. Headlining the show is Actor Keegan Allen of Freeform’s hit drama “Pretty Little Liars.” Keegan will participate in an audience Q&A on the Fashion & Entertainment Stage March 18th at 1:00 PM, and afterwards, a fan meet-and-greet and signing of his best-selling book, “life.love.beauty.”
