The Museum District Association will host a town hall meeting for the neighborhood on Wednesday, March 8th. Entitled Richmond Rapid Transit and its Effects, the meeting will address concerns related to the forthcoming Bus Rapid Transit system.

“When the BRT comes to our community, development will follow,” the association said in an email to residents. “Even if you are not a bus rider, you will benefit knowing about the changes not only to the entire region but to our neighborhood.”

The meeting will address improved transit to jobs and housing, bus route changes–and the pros and cons of each–and zoning changes along the corridor. Representatives from RVA Rapid Transit and the City of Richmond will be present.

The meeting is open to all residents and business owners in the Museum District. For planning purposes, organizers ask attendees to RSVP.

It all takes place Wednesday, March 8th at Temple Beth-El, located at 3330 Grove Avenue. Refreshments will be served at 6:15 PM; the meeting begins at 6:30 PM and will wrap around 8:15 PM.
