New Amazon service offers Richmonders home improvement, repair, cleaning, and other services

You can already order many grocery and convenience items from the comfort of your home with an hour delivery time. Now, you can request services for your home as well. Richmond is one of a handful of new cities that now have access to a new suite of home services available from Amazon–Amazon Home Services.

The platform features handpicked pros offering upfront pricing on hundreds of home services. Local service providers opt-in to where they operate and the services they provide. Customers purchasing items on Amazon that require assembly or installation of their products can include the service as part of their checkout process, or they can read reviews and schedule services directly online. All services are backed by a guarantee.

The services Amazon providers can help with range from simple repair projects and installation of satellite dishes to professional cleaning services and computer repair.

Richmond joins 50 other metropolitan areas that have access to the platform; the closest is the Hampton Roads area, part of which extends into Northeast North Carolina.
