The Henrico School Board is proposing to rename the specialty center at Mills Godwin High School for a beloved teacher and former center director killed in a car crash in June. Under the proposal, the school’s Center for Medical Sciences would become the Todd Phillips Center for Medical Sciences at Godwin High School.

Last year, Phillips led the center’s transition to a focus on medical sciences from its former emphasis on math, science, and technology.

The School Board is expected to take action on the proposal at its next meeting on Thursday, October 27th.
