WATCH: Top five mayoral candidates spar at live televised ChamberRVA debate at Altria Theater

The event was the only live, televised debate leading up to the election November 8th.

The top five polling candidates vying to lead the City of Richmond as its next mayor sparred on staged at the ChamberRVA Mayoral Debate, which was held last night at the Altria Theater and broadcast live by NBC12 and WCVE. Moderated by Craig Carper of WCVE along with Curt Autry and Diane Walker from NBC12, the debate drew a large audience and went approximately an hour and a half. Only the first hour was televised live.

Each candidate was asked specific questions of their own, along with lightning round questions in which all candidates were addressed with the same questions, some from moderators and the others crowd-sourced in advance, and each were allotted a handful of “wild card” answers, which allowed a limited number of direct responses to other candidates’ answers.
