Richmond Young Writers needs your help to move into its new home
The group is looking to raise money for a space two blocks from its original home at Chop Suey Books.
From Richmond Young Writers:
After a wonderful 8+ year relationship with Chop Suey Books we have found a space of our very own… two blocks away. We are delighted that we continue to have access to all of our friends in Carytown while being even closer to Byrd Park. While we will be just on the other side of Boulevard, we will now have the entire downstairs of a historic building, doubling our space from one classroom to two and enabling us to offer more of our soul-expanding creative workshops, camps, programs and free-writes for kids and adults.
In order to make the new space the writing haven of our dreams, we need your help. Your donation will help offset the cost of our expansion and give flight to our fantasy. Your gift to us will get you something magical in return, including tickets to our upcoming weekend of experiments in writing, The Tesseract!
As of press time, the organization had raised $790 out of their goal of $2,500. It’s important to note that the group is an LLC. As such, donations are not tax-deductile.
