Mayorathon 2016, a forum put on by Richmond Magazine, takes place Thursday evening, September 29th at the Virginia Museum of Fine arts. The seven remaining mayoral candidates, all vying for the city’s top position, will discuss their views and positions on four major topics including improving public education, transportation, strengthening city neighborhoods, and protecting the James River.

We’re pleased to be offering a live blog of the event from 6:30 – 8:00 PM, which will update in real time below. Submit your comments beneath each post or feel free to leave one at the bottom of the post in the regular comments section. We’ll have a full wrapup of the event Friday morning following the forum.
