Richmond fire crews battled a large house fire early Tuesday morning in the 4600 block of Monument Avenue. The three-alarm blaze was reported just after 3:00 AM, according to the department. Crews attacked flames from the roof of the home due to personal belongings blocking entry to the structure.

There were no injuries and the home’s sole occupant was not home when the fire broke out. Fire crews got the fire under control around 6:00 AM and are still investigating the cause.
