Scott’s Addition’s Buskey Cider had several of its apple trees vandalized over the weekend, a spokesperson for the cidery says.

A total of three trees were ripped up by someone sometime in the overnight hours of Saturday. Buskey has 22 trees in all lining W. Leigh Street and the alleyways surrounding the building.

“One of them will recover, but the other two will have to be replaced,” said Elle Street, Communications Manager for Buskey. “…[we] were disheartened by the act, and would welcome any information people have about the perpetrators.”

The incident was reported to Richmond Police.

Anyone with information on the vandalism is asked to contact Richmond Police’s nonemergency line at 804.646.5100 or email the cidery.
