The Birdhouse Farmers Market returns for its 16th season on Tuesday, May 3rd from 3:00 to 6:30 pm (rain or shine), in the space between the Randolph Community Pool and Petronius Jones Park, at 1507 Grayland Avenue.
The market welcomes 24 new and returning vendors, including Sub Rosa Bakery, Amy’s Organic Farm, The Mayor, Oro Pasta, and Suzy Sno. Vendors will be selling a mix of Virginia-grown produce, cut flowers, meat, specialty baked goods, and more each week.
The popular online market will also continue throughout the in-person market season for shoppers who choose to order in advance. Buying pages will go live on Thursday morning and close on early Monday morning each week.
The best way to keep track of weekly activities is to visit our website where you can subscribe to the weekly Birdhouse Market Newsletter, and to follow the market on Facebook and Instagram.
Birdhouse remains a treasured space to meet your farmer and your neighbors, use and stretch your SNAP dollars, learn what’s happening in your community, and feed your family well. Every season we find new ways to make eating healthy local foods available to everyone and this season is no different. We are thrilled to start our 16th season! – Kate Ruby, Market Manager
