Marcus-David Peters Sign Cut Down

Late Saturday Richmond Police forced protestors from the area now known as Marcus-David Peters circle. Then early Sunday morning the sign commemorating the renaming of the circle was taken down. The city, Richmond Police, and Virginia State patrol have all stated that they did remove the signs.

RPD Tweeted out the following, yesterday at 4:26 PM:

Do you have any tips to share about the secret removal of the MDP sign from the Circle? The RPD will arrest those it can prove did this without permission – perhaps hoping it would spark more violence. Call Crime Stoppers at 804 780-1000 or use the P3 app anonymously.

The Twitterverse was quick to respond with possible suspects. This being Twitter, take these screenshots with a grain of salt. A quick browse of The Virginia Flagger tweets and Facebook shows that if they posted these they have since removed them.

And another one.
