The hope is that a few more trails could help everyone access the riverfront as well as use methods other than driving to get around our city.

The city has a wonderful system of bike trails but there a few gaps that advocates hope to close up. One such gap is connecting T. Tyler Potterfield Bridge, Belle Isle, Forest Hill Park with other Southside neighborhoods. In May 2017 during National Ride a Bike to Work Day, Mayor Stoney stood at the newly completed T-pot Bridge and committed to the completion of this “Missing Link” trail. Next Wednesday, City staff will host a meeting to unveil and discuss design recommendations for the trail.

Missing Link Trail Public Meeting
Date: Wednesday, December 11, 2019
Time: 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM
Location: City Hall, Council Chambers, 2nd Floor (900 E. Broad Street, Richmond, VA)

Connections like this are vital to achieving the full vision and potential of Richmond’s riverfront as an accessible place for all residents and visitors of all abilities.
