Back-to-School Clinic is Providing Vaccinations and Physicals for Soon-to-be Students

Getting ready for school isn’t just about pencils and paper, physicals and vaccinations need to be taken care of as well.

This Friday, August 23rd the Richmond City Health District’s annual Back-to-School Clinic at 400 East Cary Street is offering vaccinations and physicals needed for Day Care and school entry to children age four and older. Richmond City Health District nurses and clinical staff-members will administer all vaccinations.  VCU School of Nursing will provide school-entry physicals (No sports physicals). The Clinic will be operating from 8 AM to 2:30 PM.

Additionally, HPV vaccine will be available to youth ages 9-18. This vaccine prevents the Human papillomavirus that can cause cancer in males and females.

Parents should bring their child’s shot records and insurance card if they are insured. Uninsured persons are welcome.

This Back-to-School event is for Richmond residents only.
