Teams from Maymont and the Richmond Portal announced Tuesday that Maymont is hosting the portal, a connection to 40 other sites on 5 continents, through August 30th.

Portals are immersive audiovisual spaces that bring people together who would never otherwise meet. Live interpretation is available.

The public can experience this free, public, interactive installation by either open-hour walk-ins or booking a free, timed reservation by emailing richmond@sharedstudios.com.

The portal is located at the corner of Spottswood Road and Shirley Lane, with additional locations to be announced.
