Flooding Town Hall
July 9, 2019
6:30 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
Southside Community Center (6255 Old Warwick Road)

Flooding has been an ongoing issue for the Ninth District, and it seems that it will continue to happen as heavy rains and serious storms become more frequent due to the increasing global temperature. Water often stands for days after it rains and flooding has blocked neighborhood roads off completely.

I highly encourage all Ninth District residents to attend and share their experience with flooding. Staff from the Department of Public Utilities will be present to elaborate on upcoming projects and address the questions and concerns raised. The purpose of this town hall is to express concerns with the goal of working towards solutions. After the town hall, my office will stay committed to advocating for response and infrastructure improvements in the Ninth District.

Please share this information with neighbors, friends, and family in the Ninth District. A strong turnout will make this town hall more effective.
