The video below shows off a great event organized by Patrick Henry School of Science and Arts.

More from Kristen Larson.

Last year Patrick Henry School started an end of the year race for the older students that involved biking, running and kayaking. The students were required to train physically with kayak lessons and bike trips. They were also required to get to know certain areas of the park and do community volunteer hours. This initiative was led by Aaron Litchfield the school’s amazing PE teacher.

My daughter had an opportunity to participate and her inaugural ‘race group’ is in this video. It was such a great experience for her and she has great memories from this event.
