Train Derailment Monday Night
The accident occurred near Granite Pool but rest easy fellow Graniteers all is well at our local concrete waterhole.
On Monday evening four cars of a Norfolk Sout train derailed near the intersection of Glyndon Lane and Granite Hall Avenue in South Richmond. There were no hazardous materials involved. Cleanup is continuing today.
The derailment did cause issues with Monday’s traffic as the engine was stopped near the crossing on Forest Hill Avenue and Powhite.
